Ngl I fought buying one of these for like two years because I kept telling myself my circular saw and a straight edge was fine. Then I had a built-in cabinet job in Annapolis back in March where I had to break down 14 sheets of plywood by myself and my back was screaming by sheet 4. So I caved and spent $340 on the saw plus another $80 on a decent blade because the stock one is trash. The cuts are clean, sure, but the real win is that I stopped dreading the breakdown day. What used to take me a full Saturday morning now takes about two hours and I'm not cussing the whole time. But here's my hot take, if you only do sheet goods a few times a year, save your money and buy a better straight edge and some clamps. This tool only pays for itself if you're cutting panels constantly like I am. What's your cutoff point on when a tool like this is actually worth it versus just being a nice thing to have?
