Had a total facepalm moment installing a custom built-in in a Denver loft

I was putting up the last cabinet section when I realized I'd cut the filler piece for the left side 3/4 of an inch too short because I measured from the wrong reference point. Honestly, I just glued on a strip of matching oak and recut the face frame piece on site with my track saw. What's your go-to fix for a measurement slip-up that you only catch at the very end?

Did you consider scribing it instead of adding a strip?

Man, my buddy once fixed a similar goof with a router and some creative trim.

Classic Denver loft problems, right? KarenMurray has a point about scribing, but sometimes you just need the quick fix. My track saw has saved me from worse messes than that.
