I finally tried cutting MDF with a dull blade on purpose and the dust nearly ran me out of the garage
My buddy Lenny down in Tampa bet me a case of beer that a dull blade cuts MDF just fine, so I ran a test on 6 sheets of 3/4 inch with a blade I'd normally toss. The cut was clean enough but the dust was insane, way finer than normal, and it coated every surface in my garage in about 20 minutes flat. Learned the hard way that the blade wasn't the problem, the dust collection was, and I still owe him that case. Anyone else notice MDF dust acts totally different depending on blade sharpness or is it just me?
