Rant: Spent 10 years cutting crown molding upside down and backward

Last week I watched a 20-year vet do a corner in 2 minutes flat. Turns out I had my miter saw set backwards the whole time. Has anyone else had that moment where one guy shows you up and suddenly everything clicks?

My uncle was a trim carpenter for 40 years and he always said the best guys learn by making every mistake twice. He'd watch new guys struggle and just smile because he knew they'd get it eventually.
