That moment my angle finder fell 12 feet and shattered
Was framing a wall in a garage in Tucson last week and dropped my Empire angle finder off the ladder. Tried to catch it with my knee and ended up twisting my ankle on the fall. Has anyone else had a tool fail at the worst possible moment or am I just unlucky?

Dropped my empire last year, broke the vial instantly.

Ngl angela_carter, you're blaming the wrong thing here. Broken vials are just bad luck or bad setup, not some sign you shouldn't be doing this. You dropped it, the vial broke. That's on you for not securing it better, not on the empire itself. Go pick up another one and try again, just wrap it in something this time. Plenty of people drop empires and they don't shatter if they're stored right or use a good case. Don't let a single accident make you think the whole thing is cursed or too fragile.
