Took me 6 hours to figure out why my miter saw cuts were off by 1/8 inch
Spent an entire Saturday fighting a 1/8 inch gap on crown molding cuts before I realized my saw stand was slightly twisted from moving it around the shop. Finally squared it up with a framing square and a 4 foot level and it cut perfect after that. Has anyone else had a simple setup issue mess with their accuracy for way too long?

Did you ever think it might be the stand? I used to blame the blade or my own technique every time, but after reading this, I'm totally rethinking my setup routine.

Man I spent two years blaming my blade angle and even swapped out my grip tape twice. Then one day my buddy came over and just nudged my stand over an inch and everything clicked. Turns out the whole time my stand was slightly crooked and I was compensating without even realizing it. Makes you wonder how many little things we overlook.
