Took me 6 hours to figure out why my mitre saw cuts were off by 3 degrees

Kept getting gaps on crown moulding joints and blamed the saw itself. After 4 hours of checking the blade, fence, and even buying a new angle finder, I finally realized my 12-foot folding workbench had a slight dip in the middle. The board was flexing every time I pressed down. Took another 2 hours to shim the bench level. Has anyone else had a cheap work surface mess up their cuts worse than the tool itself?

Oh man, I had the same thing happen with a warped saw horse that was totally messing up my cuts for weeks before I figured it out.
