Vent: Why did nobody tell me I've been driving finish nails at the wrong angle for 15 years?

Foreman walked by last Tuesday and pointed out my nail gun was canted 5 degrees off from the stud centerline, and now I'm looking back at every crooked trim piece I ever installed and wondering how many callbacks I could've avoided lol has anyone else had a basic habit totally blow up on them like this?

Nail gun was canted 5 degrees" - man, that one stings for sure. In my experience, half the battle is just having a solid 90 degree reference point on the work piece to check yourself against. Your mileage may vary, but I always keep a small speed square nearby for that exact reason, trust but verify and all that.

Really feel for you @ray324. I've been there with everything just slightly off and it drives you crazy trying to figure out where the mistake is. A speed square is a lifesaver, I always keep one clipped to my belt loop so I can't lose it. Sometimes it's the little things that save a whole project, you know. Hang in there.
