Walked into a hardware store near my house and saw their rack of chisels was totally rusted over
None of the stock had any protective coating and they were just sitting there under a leaky pipe, have any of you seen stores just giving up on basic tool care?

Gotta disagree a bit, rusty chisels are usually from them sitting too long not a leaky pipe, but yeah no coating is lazy on their part.

Wonder if the real issue is the steel quality itself though, some of that cheap stuff rusts no matter how careful you are.
