Wasted $80 on a jigsaw that couldn't cut straight

I picked up this cheap jigsaw from a hardware store in Denver thinking I was saving money. Tried it on a simple plywood cut for a cabinet shelf and the blade wandered so bad I had to scrap the piece. Has anyone else had luck with a mid-range model that actually holds a line under $150?

Probably more about technique than the tool tbh.

Oh come on now, you really think it's ALL about technique? A sharp blade or decent motor makes a WORLD of difference when you're trying to get clean cuts or smooth finishes. Good tools just let good technique SHINE instead of fighting against junk.
