Watched a framing crew skip hurricane ties at a slab pour in Cape Coral

I was dropping off lumber at a job in Cape Coral last month and spotted a crew nailing top plates without a single hurricane strap. Inspectors were supposed to come the next day, so I asked the lead guy about it and he just shrugged, said they were running behind. That storm season would've peeled that roof right off. I've started checking for straps on every delivery now, even if it's not my crew. Any of you guys run into crews cutting corners like that and say something or keep your mouth shut?
