I ate my sandwich crust first for 2 weeks and the middle bites finally made sense
Two weeks ago I started eating my ham sandwich from the crust edge inward instead of biting straight into the soft middle, mostly because a coworker in Rochester named Dave would not shut up about it. By day 10 the last few bites were all soft bread and filling instead of a dry rim, and I actually finished the whole thing without leaving the heel on the plate. Is there any other food where saving the best part for the end beats eating it first, or am I just late to something everyone already does?
