My brother laughed at me for putting ketchup on my eggs for 10 years, and now I owe him an apology
Honestly I have been doing ketchup on scrambled eggs since I was like 12 and my older brother Dave has roasted me for it at every single family breakfast for a decade. He always said the ketchup hides the taste of the eggs and that I was basically eating tomato candy with a side of chicken. Well last weekend I ran out of ketchup so I ate my eggs plain for the first time in forever and wow, he was right, they tasted way better without it. I sat there kind of mad because 10 years of arguments just flipped on me in one meal. Tbh I still think ketchup has a place on like a diner omelet with cheese, but on plain scrambled eggs it was covering up everything. Ngl it stung a little texting him to admit it. Does anyone else have a food combo they defended for years and then quietly dropped? And if you do ketchup on eggs, what else are you putting it on that I should know about?
