Took me 25 minutes to open a jar of pickles last night, and I still think the knife was the right call
I grabbed a new jar of pickles from the fridge on Tuesday and the lid would not budge, so I tried the hot water trick for 10 minutes, then the spoon handle tap for 5 more, before finally wedging a butter knife under the edge and hearing that little pop. My partner says you should just run it under hot water and wait, while I say a knife gets it done in 2 seconds flat. Which side are you on, and does anyone actually own one of those rubber jar opener pads?
