Changed my mind on cold showers: the 90 second trick actually fixed my mornings
I always figured the whole cold shower thing was internet hype, and I'd roll my eyes at anyone who brought it up. But about 3 weeks ago I was dragging bad, hitting snooze like 4 times, and a buddy said to try just 90 seconds of cold at the end instead of the full dive. I tried it for 5 days straight and by day 3 I was actually getting up without the snooze fight, which has not happened for me in years. The trick that made it work: start the timer only once the water is fully cold, not when you turn the knob, because the pipes take a second. I'm still not sold on the mood stuff but the wake-up part is real for me. Anyone else try this and notice it wears off after a few weeks? I'm 12 days in and starting to wonder if I need to bump it to 2 minutes.
