Pro tip: my barber in Phoenix changed how I tip after one haircut
I used to think 15% was always fine no matter what service I got. Then my barber Marcus spent 45 minutes fixing a bad cut from a chain place and only charged me $22, and I realized cheap tips on cheap services still short the person doing the actual work. Do you tip based on the price or based on the time and effort?

Marcus charging $22 for 45 minutes means the tip is basically his pay, so 15% on that is nothing.
