Am I the only one who picks gas station tacos over the fancy taco trucks?
Everyone in my town raves about the taco truck on 4th Street with the long line, but I tried their $9 plate last Tuesday and it was just okay. Me, I keep going back to the 7-Eleven on Main where the old guy makes tacos for $5.50 with fresh salsa, and I've never had a bad one. Is it just me or are hidden cheap spots better than the hyped ones?

That 7-Eleven guy KNOWS his salsa deserves a MURAL or something.

Man's proving the point without even trying. Everyone chases the hype train on social media, thinks the long line means better food, but most of the time it's just people wanting to feel like they're part of something. Same thing happens with coffee shops, barbers, even gas stations. You find some random spot that's been there forever with zero fanfare and it's always good, always consistent, always your speed. The 7-Eleon guy doesn't need a mural because his salsa does the talking. It's like the whole world forgot that hidden gems are usually hidden for a reason, and that reason ain't bad quality.
