Food truck taco vs taqueria taco, which one wins under $10?

I've been doing a taco showdown in Austin for the last month. The food truck on 12th street does 3 al pastor tacos for $8.50 with fresh pineapple and that smoky salsa. But the old taqueria near the bus depot has 3 carne asada for $7.75, no frills but they load up the cilantro and onion. I keep going back and forth, last week the truck won on flavor, but the taqueria wins on portion size. Which one would you pick if you had to eat there every day, and am I missing a better spot in the $6-$9 range?

You've spent a month on a "showdown" and you're asking which one you'd eat every day, but the real answer is the taqueria because it's $0.75 cheaper and you can get a drink with the savings. The pineapple salsa is nice, but it's not changing your life, it's just a topping. If you're really worried about missing out, get the truck's al pastor on the weekend and the taqueria on weekdays, problem solved. Austin's got too many good spots to be this stressed over ten bucks.
