I finally walked out of that taco place on 5th after waiting 40 minutes for a $3 burrito
So last Friday I hit up this little spot near downtown Austin that everyone swears has the best $3 breakfast burrito in town. I walk in at 7:15am, order one burrito and a water, and sit down thinking I'll be out by 7:30. Twenty minutes go by, then thirty, and I'm watching people who came in after me get their food first. I go up and ask the guy at the counter where my order is, and he just shrugs and says the ticket got lost. I told him I wanted a refund, grabbed my stuff, and walked two blocks to a taqueria I'd never tried. Got a bigger burrito with way more filling for $4.50 and it was on my table in six minutes. So my question is, how long do you wait before you just bail on a cheap spot, or do you stick it out because the food might be worth it?
