Tried the lunch special at that 24-hour diner on Main Street last Thursday

The $6.50 meatloaf plate came with mashed potatoes and a side salad but the gravy tasted like it was from a can and the meat was dry as dust, so now I am wondering if anyone else has had better luck with their breakfast menu instead?

I've learned the hard way that cheap diner specials are basically a gamble. My breakfast there was nothing special either, rubbery eggs and bacon that was more fat than meat. I should just stick to my own cooking.
