Finally found the trick to stop my self-checkout from beeping at me for every single item.
Turns out if you bag things in the exact order you scan them and don't let anything touch the scale wrong like that bag of onions I had last week, the machine stops screaming at you, has anyone else cracked the code on this or am I just slow?

@coran63 is right blaming the machine but you're also fighting a losing battle. The real trick nobody talks about is using a reusable bag that's exactly the right weight so the scale stops freaking out over your onions. Once I swapped to a lighter bag my checkout drama dropped by like 80 percent.
