Just spent 40 minutes in line at the Kroger on 5th because the lady ahead of me had 3 carts and a binder full of coupons
I was third in line at the self checkout and somehow it still turned into a 40 minute wait last Tuesday at the Kroger on 5th. She had a binder with tabs and a folder of clipped coupons for what felt like 200 items. The machine kept beeping and she kept pulling out more paper. I stood there wondering if I should just leave my 6 items and go. Has anyone else gotten stuck behind a coupon binder person and what did you do?
Stores actually love the binder people because coupons make them buy way more stuff than they planned. The real issue is that Kroger only staffs one or two lanes now, so one slow person jams up the whole front of the store. Next time I'd just abandon the cart and walk, since Kroger can't argue with you when their own lines are a mess.
