Showerthought: The slow death of the impulse candy bar
I was behind a guy buying a single Snickers at the gas station on Elm Street, and it hit me. Ten years ago, that rack was full of new stuff every month. Now it's the same six bars, dusty. They moved the good stuff to the front by the register in those plastic boxes. I guess it's easier to stop kids from stealing them that way. Anyone else notice their local store's candy section just got sad?

Saw my buddy try to buy a Butterfinger at a 7-Eleven last week. The clerk just pointed at a locked case up front and my friend just gave up.

That's the saddest defeat in convenience store history.
