The self-checkout at the 24th Street Kroger is watching you browse

I counted 14 people get flagged for random checks during a 20 minute wait there on Tuesday, and I swear the screen was timing how long I stared at the candy bars, does anyone else feel like that machine is judging your snack choices?

That screen timing your candy stare is probably feeding data to the checkout algorithms, so the real judgment is happening before you even scan." Honestly, if you linger on the Oreos too long, expect a coupon for kale chips later.
