Everyone behind them just stares at the ceiling" is basically my life story, I'm the one counting ceiling tiles.

Why is it always the smallest transactions that take the longest? I swear this is just the universe testing us. Like the person who waits until the conveyor belt is full before realizing they have to dig for their wallet. Or the one who pays with an app that takes three minutes to load while everyone behind them just stares at the ceiling. This nonsense is everywhere now, not just in checkout lines.
