Every time I got stuck behind a slow lane I told myself the machines were the problem, so I refused to use them for about 2 years. Last month a cashier at the Kroger on High Street in Columbus waved me over and rang me up in under 3 minutes while I watched a guy buy 60 bucks of groceries by himself at the self scan with no issue. Is there a trick I am missing, or did I just waste a bunch of my life standing in the wrong line on purpose?
