Three of them exploded on the belt"? That's straight up brutal, I'd be staring in disbelief. In my experience, you gotta grab a store manager right then and there, not a cashier, because they can authorize a replacement on the spot. Your mileage may vary, but I've had luck getting a full refund or a free new carton handed to me when the store's equipment is the one that caused the mess.
