Hit 500 covers solo last Saturday night, never thought I'd see that number again
Used to do that back at The Grotto in Boston in the 90s. Thought those days were gone. But last weekend at the new spot in Portland, we got slammed and I just fell into the rhythm. Kitchen was humming, tickets kept coming, and I actually kept up. Any other old timers surprised themselves lately?

Falling into that rhythm is real. Same thing happened to me lifting last month.

Buddy of mine from the old days, Tommy, he used to tend bar at The Bunker in Southie. He swore he'd never bounce back after his shoulder gave out. Then last fall at his new job, they had a charity event with 400 people and he moved kegs like it was nothing. Said his body just remembered what to do after the first lift, and he woke up sore but smiling like a kid. Made me wonder if some muscles just have a longer memory than we do.
