Swapped my grocery store parsley for a $4 hydroponic basil plant on my windowsill 6 weeks ago
I used to buy fresh herbs every shift only to toss half of them wilted 3 days later, but now I just snip what I need before service and the plant keeps growing back like crazy, anyone else grow their own herbs in a small apartment kitchen?

My basil plant story is similar but different. I had a rosemary bush on my fire escape that got infested with aphids and I tried to fight them with ladybugs from the internet. Let's just say the ladybugs ended up more interested in my neighbor's tomato plants than my rosemary.

Read somewhere that ladybugs only stick around if there's a water source nearby. Maybe your neighbor's tomatoes had some dew or something that drew them over.
