That Saturday brunch shift where I sold 87 eggs benedict before noon was the absolute BEST day I have had in my 15 year career.

We had 3 people call out sick and I was on eggs by myself but the tickets just kept coming in a perfect rhythm and every single plate went out looking like a magazine cover, has anyone else ever had a shift where everything just clicked like that?

Oh man, that sounds like pure chaos turned into art lol. Elliot's take is funny but nah, a perfect shift for me would be like if all the eggs somehow cooked themselves and the coffee machine never ran out. I had one shift like that once flipping omelets and it felt like I was in the Matrix or something, just moving and everything worked out. Because in my experience, an empty restaurant never means an easy shift. It usually means scrubbing the floor drains and reorganizing the dry storage by expiration date until your eyes cross. What happened after you dumped that hollandaise everywhere, did your coworkers ever let you live it down?
