Update: I ate at that new place on Market Street and the plating was a mess
I went to the new bistro on Market Street last Friday, and the food tasted fine, but the presentation was all wrong. My halibut was just dumped in the middle of a huge white plate with a sad drizzle of sauce, and the vegetables were scattered like they fell off the truck. It looked lazy, not artistic, and for a $38 entree, I expect some care. Has anyone else noticed a trend where kitchens just stop trying with the visual side of a dish?
