A homeowner in Charlotte told me my inspection reports were too technical

They said, 'I don't know what a flue liner is, I just want to know if my fireplace is safe.' I used to list every single measurement and code reference. Now I lead with a simple 'safe' or 'needs work' summary at the top, with the technical stuff below for other pros. It's made a huge difference in how clients see the value. Do you think we should dumb things down or stick to the technical details?

Flat out disagree, dumbing it down loses the pros who actually need the details.

Honestly, my plumber's invoices are so cryptic I need a decoder ring.

Right? @wade_lewis, mine look like they're written in alien code.
