Appreciation post: My new $150 camera snake saved a whole job yesterday
Got a call for a blocked flue in an old farmhouse, the kind with three bends. My old rods just kept hitting a wall. Pulled out the new camera snake I bought last month, fed it down, and saw the problem clear as day... a bird nest packed tight about eight feet up. Without that view, I would have been guessing for hours. Anyone else find these little cameras worth the cash for tricky jobs?

Wait, a bird nest? @derek_brown28, I'd be gutting the whole pipe at that point.

What kind of camera snake did you go with? I've been looking at them for exactly those weird bends in old pipes, but wasn't sure if the cheaper ones were any good. Seeing a bird nest that clearly sounds like it paid for itself right there.
