Missed a small crack in the smoke chamber

Creosote leaked into the wall from it. Always use a mirror for a full look.

Ngl that mirror trick sounds like overkill to me. Most people just do a quick look and it's fine. Plus who even has a small mirror handy for that?

Try checking a hard-to-see spot like your collar or hairline without one. You end up craning your neck and still missing stuff. I keep a compact in my bag for exactly that reason. It's not overkill if you actually care about looking put together.
