My rotary brush snapped mid-job on a 20-year-old flue liner

It happened yesterday on a house in Maplewood, the rod twisted right at the coupling and the head took out a chunk of the clay tile, so I had to wire-brush the rest by hand and patch it with a stainless liner sleeve, anyone else carry a spare rotary just in case or am I being paranoid?

That coupling was probably already stressed from years of heat cycles, not a random snap. But yeah, I always keep a spare head and rod in the truck, costs less than a service call back out there.
