Rigid vs. Poly Pro brushes was a game changer for me

Used a standard poly pro brush for years and kept fighting with stubborn creosote on clay liners. Switched to a Rigid brand wire brush last month and the difference was night and day. The wires grabbed better and I didn't have to go over the same spot three times. Anyone else find a particular brush style that works best for heavy buildup?

Wait, isn't Rigid a brand of brush and not the material itself? I mean, most stiff wire brushes are poly pro or steel, so aren't you comparing brand to material there?

Gotta admit @hugobarnes, you're right. I used to think Rigid was the actual material name for those super stiff brushes, but now I see it's just a brand. The poly pro and steel stuff is the real deal for material. Thanks for clearing that up, makes way more sense now.

Three years ago I bought a Rigid brush on a whim and it was the same story for me. I always figured any wire brush was basically the same but that one cut my cleanup time in half easy. Now I won't mess with the cheap poly pro ones for heavy jobs.
