Switched from rotary to whip cleaning 3 years ago and never looked back

I used to think rotary cleaning was the only way to really scrub a chimney, but after a bad job on a zero-clearance fireplace in 2021 where I nearly cracked the firebox, I switched to whip cleaning with a poly head. Now I get cleaner results on delicate liners and it takes me 15 minutes less per job. Anyone else made the switch or still think rotary is king?

Did you ever run into issues with the poly head melting on hotter jobs though?

Hang on, you're telling me there's a job where melting ISN'T the goal? I thought that was the whole point of poly heads, like a built-in self-destruct feature for when you mess up. I mean, yeah, I had one go all soft and droopy on me during a particularly hot streak and it looked like a sad, melted candle. Idk, maybe I'm just bad at this but I figured that was just part of the "learning experience" or whatever.
