Warning: Stop using wire brushes on stainless liners if you see rust
I noticed last month that a job I did for a guy in Columbus was already showing rust spots on his new stainless liner. Turns out the crew before me used a regular steel wire brush to clean it and that left tiny metal particles that rusted. You gotta use a stainless brush or a plastic one on those liners or you're just asking for corrosion down the road. Anybody else run into this with their installs?

My shop foreman back in the day had a real thing about contamination like that, told me stories about stainless boat grills that got ruined the same way from cheap brushes. We switched over to those green nylon scrub pads for final cleanup on liners after that, and it made a huge difference in keeping the finish clean and rust-free. Kind of a hidden trap for new guys, because they just grab whatever brush is closest and don't think about the metal transfer happening.
