Ever try to cut drywall without scoring it first? Same kind of messy disaster.

Score the drywall and snap it instead of cutting through the paper first.

Makes sense, aluminum really gums things up without enough lube. Learned that the hard way on a job that left my tools looking terrible. Getting the mix right saves so much headache later.
