Cut feed rates by 10% on aluminum and stopped getting that chatter noise completely
Been dealing with vibration marks on a batch of 6061 parts for weeks and after trying different speeds and toolpaths, dropping the feed just a hair from 50 to 45 IPM did the trick - has anyone else found that tiny adjustments work better than big changes?

Yeah I bumped mine down 8% and the finish came out way cleaner.

Yeah I noticed that too. It got me thinking how a lot of things in life work better when you don't push them all the way. Like cooking, I always pulled my steaks off the heat a couple degrees early and they come out way more tender. Even with my car, I found keeping the revs a little lower on the highway gave me way better gas mileage. It's like that sweet spot where you're not maxing things out but you get a cleaner result. You ever find that with something else totally random?
