First time I ran a full production run without scrapping a single part
Been running a Haas VF-2 for about 8 months now. Yesterday I did a 50 piece job on some 6061 aluminum brackets. Hit the last part and measured everything right on the money. Felt good. My trainer told me that first clean run is a milestone. Anybody else remember their first zero scrap day?

Honestly I still celebrate like a giddy idiot whenever I don't crash the tool changer, let alone finish a batch without scrapping. My first zero scrap day was a 12 piece run on some simple aluminum blocks and I almost cried tears of joy.

Oh man, @the_alice I totally get what you mean about almost crying. My first zero scrap day was on a 40 piece run of some little 7075 aluminum spacers. I had this stupid grin on my face for like two hours after I popped the last part off the vise and checked everything with the mic. It's wild how something that sounds so simple actually feels like winning a championship. I even took a picture of the whole batch laid out on the table before I packed them up.
