Paid $180 for a 'precision' edge finder, snapped it in 10 minutes

Bought one of those fancy digital edge finders from a booth at the Cleveland tool show. Looked slick, LED screen and all. First part I set up, I bumped it a hair too hard and the tip sheared clean off. Called the company, they said it's not covered for 'operator error.' Going back to my $25 wiggle finder, honestly works better anyway. Anyone else had a fancy tool fail on them fast?
