Spent $350 on a 'precision' collet set and every single one wobbles worse than my old chucks
Bought a 20-piece ER32 set off some flashy website claiming sub-thou runout, and after mounting and measuring each one yesterday with a .0005 indicator, the best one had .003 of wobble and the worst damn near .008, so is there a known reliable brand I should be looking at instead or am I just cursed with bad luck?

Tbh if you're getting that much wobble it's probably the taper bore in the nut or body that's out of round, not the collets themselves. For actual sub-thou runout you gotta check out Rego-Fix or Techniks, they're the only ones I've seen hold true under .001 consistently.
