Switched from flood coolant to a fogbuster setup last month - huge difference on stainless

I used to deal with a mess of puddles and chips clogging my sump constantly when running 304 stainless on my Haas. A guy at a Tooling & Milling expo in Daytona told me to try a mist system instead, and now my parts are cleaner and I'm not slipping in coolant. Has anyone else switched away from flood and regretted it or found it worth the hassle?

You mentioned cleaner parts. That's actually a big deal for weld prep, less cleanup later.

Wait, are you serious right now? Nobody ever brings up the cleaner parts in these conversations. Everyone's always focused on the big expensive upgrades or the fancy new machines. But you're dead on - that's the stuff that actually saves you hours of grinding and sanding later. I've had jobs where the parts were so nasty from the start that I spent more time cleaning than welding. Makes a massive difference in the final product too, no contamination or porosity issues.
