Trade show demo in Milwaukee changed my cutter speeds for good

Went to that big fab expo last October and watched a guy run a 3/8 end mill through stainless like it was butter. He was pushing 500 SFM with a high-feed insert, way faster than my shop manual said. I asked him about it after and he just shrugged, said his tool rep set him up with a new coating. Tried it back home on a job for a brewery in Green Bay, cut cycle time from 22 minutes to 14. Has anyone else had a demo change their go-to parameters that much?
