A instructor at a San Diego bootcamp made me ditch my IDE and use paper for a full day, and it actually worked
I signed up for a 12 week intro coding bootcamp in San Diego and on day 3 the instructor told us to close our laptops and grab paper. I thought it was a waste of time, but we spent the whole class writing out loops and variables by hand instead of typing. By the end I could trace my code line by line without the computer doing it for me, and my debugging got way faster. Now I still sketch logic on paper before I touch a keyboard, and it saves me from dumb syntax mistakes. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?
