Hot take: I blew $300 on a 'beginner-friendly' coding bootcamp that was useless

The course promised job-ready skills in 8 weeks, but the instructor just read slides and gave us broken project files. Save your cash and just work through free tutorials on YouTube instead, has anyone found a good free course for Python?

Honestly that's such a rip off, I feel for you. Tbh I had a similar thing happen with a web design course. They just rehashed free blog posts and the "mentor" was never online. Ngl, for Python, the free stuff on the Mozilla Developer Network site is solid, and the book "Automate the Boring Stuff" is free to read online. It starts with the basics but gets into real projects pretty quick.

MDN is for web dev, not Python. Good call on Automate though, @the_robin.
