Just realized my first coding meetup in Austin made me finally understand functions.

Watched a guy build a simple tip calculator in 10 minutes and it clicked that functions are just reusable blocks of code, not magic.

Nah, functions are still basically magic. The real trick is getting them to work right.

Actually, I find them pretty logical once you get the hang of it.

Not magic, sure, but functions can still trip you up with unexpected bugs.
