Last Tuesday my code crashed 14 times and it was actually a good thing
I was working on a little Python script to pull weather data for my city and it kept failing with a syntax error I couldn't find. Turns out I had a missing colon after a loop, which took me like 2 hours to spot. After fixing it, I went back and read through all the error logs from that day and realized I learned more about debugging in one afternoon than in the whole week before. Has anyone else had a bad coding day that taught them a ton?

wait, 14 times?! i mean, i've had some rough coding days but 14 crashes in one day sounds absolutely brutal. missing a colon after a loop is such a classic mistake too, i've done that like a hundred times. it's honestly wild how something so tiny can make everything fall apart. but hey, at least you got that debugging crash course out of it, right? sometimes you gotta burn through a bunch of failures to really lock in the lesson.
