One good debugging day after 6 months of pain in Austin

Last Friday I finally fixed a bug that had been eating my lunch since March. It was a race condition in a Python script that only crashed when the database had more than 400 rows, took me 3 full days just to reproduce it. Turns out the issue was a timeout I set to 5 seconds, but the slowest queries ran 5.2. I changed it to 10 and everything just worked. That whole week felt like a win because I kept a log of every error and finally saw the pattern on day 4. Has anyone else had a dumb config value like that ruin their whole week? What was your number?
